Dr. Mbindyo

Dr. Mbindyo is a  Full Professor of Chemistry at Millersville University. He joined the department as an Assistant Professor in  2002, was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2007, and to Full Professor in 2012. He obtained his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Connecticut with Professor James Rusling in 1998, and did Post-doctoral work with Professor Thomas Mallouk at Penn State University in 1999-2002 with a focus in Nanotechnology.​

Dr. Mbindyo was recipient of a Sustainability Award from the American Chemical Society Committee on Environmental Improvement (ACS-CEI) in 2016. He was also recipient of  IEEC Student Achievement Award from the  Electrochemical Society, as well a Teaching Assistant Award and Harvey S. Sadow Fellowship from the University of Connecticut.

 

At Millersville, he is the coordinator of the B.S.  Chemistry Environmental Option degree Track, Coordinator for B.S. Chemistry Nanotechnology Option degree track and departmental faculty coordinator for Internships.


He is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the American Association for Advancement of Science (AAAS
